Dr Alloway and Dr Killick see people as outpatients in the hospice on Tuesday and Friday mornings. This may be with their Macmillan nurse or day hospice team, ensuring continuity of care and advice.
At the consultation they will discuss how you feel, how you could be helped to feel as well as possible, for as long as possible. They will write to your own GP and other Doctors involved in your care and can provide you a copy of this letter.
Reasons for outpatient consultations:
- To review the cause and how symptoms such as pain, nausea, breathlessness can be improved
- Discussion about future care and treatment options and advanced care planning
- Review of medication
